Balcony RestorationDid one of your balconies sustain damage during a natural disaster or a fire? Do your property’s balconies not contribute to the aesthetics of your building?  If your balconies are an eye-sore, or they aren’t safe to stand on, it is time to have your balconies restored.

Balcony restoration involves several steps, which include:

  • Pre-construction survey – A professional team will come out to assess the damage to your balcony structure and provide an estimate of the overall costs of repair or replacement.
  • Construction – The balcony structure will be repaired or replaced, including repairs or replacement of the concrete slabs and added protection to prevent future damage from the elements.
  • Railing replacement – Old balcony railings will be removed and replaced with your choice of a new railing, which will also be coated for protection against the elements.

By completing a pre-construction survey, balcony restoration can be more easily managed and completed in a timely manner. In addition, the structural integrity of the balcony may be improved, thus contributing to a longer lifespan.

At Belanger Engineering, we have worked on many balcony restoration projects and have extensive knowledge of the types of materials available and how to best improve the quality of balconies during the construction process.
